Hallie Benefiel started this petition to Indiana State University

Indiana State University states that they are an eco-friendly campus, but most of the restaurants and dining halls still use plastics and styrofoam for cups, straws, containers, etc. They state that they want people to recycle, but there are not many places to recycle on campus. This is causing students to throw their recyclables into the regular trash cans. There are also some people who are throwing their trash in the wrong parts of recycling bins. If Indiana State University were to get rid of plastics and styrofoam, then it would cause less waste for landfills. Hopefully, we can get officials on campus to see why we need to stop using plastics and styrofoam in restaurants and dining halls. Please help us reach this goal!
