Tyler Snapp started this petition to Indiana State Senate

It is beyond time to enact constitutional carry in Indiana. With the way things have been going in the world today, who knows when or where the next mass shooter will strike. Even with the new law abolishing permit fees coming into effect in 2020, we still have to pay other fees, jump through hoops and request government permission to exercise our God given right to self defense. For some people, this is still cost prohibitive. Not to mention, the ridiculously long wait times involved with the process. Everyone who can legally own a gun, should be able to carry one for protection. As the old cliche goes, the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Think about it, if a would-be mass shooter knows that potentially every person could possibly shoot back, maybe this would deter them. Maybe not, but logic dictates that the number of victims would be greatly reduced. The state police have been given the ability to deny a permit with the use of a vaguely worded laws (IC 35-47-1-7) instead of a clear, definite set of qualifications, and they do on a regular basis using the "proper person" excuse. Enough is enough.  U.S. constitution is very clear: SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Gun crimes are not committed by law abiding citizens. They are committed by criminals. Contact your respective state representatives and governer Holcomb and let them know it is time to enact constitutional carry.
