Paper junk mail produces 13.5 Billion pounds of paper waste per year, the equivalent of 17 Empire State Buildings!
Even with this startling statistic, the USA continues to allow over $320 tax dollars per citizen to be spent on disposal of these unwanted, privacy invading materials. This is unacceptable, and must end now.
Indiana lawmakers, we're calling on you to ban junk mail, once and for all!
This advertising is unacceptable, unwanted, and blatantly violating our privacy as citizens of Indiana. These materials can easily be re-distributed online where people may be more interested in them, and won't have to throw them away in the trash.
