The Government of India recently announced an increase in the reservation for the OBCs (Other Backeard Classes) and the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category students in the NEET Exam (Medical) . This resuted in a 60% reservation for the category students (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD). There is also a reservation of 52% for the category students in the JEE exam (Engineering) 

This is sheer murder of merit as the cut-offs for the category (or caste) students are very low. Almost half of the general category students in India. We have no problem with reservation for EWS students as they actually need it. The other categories are based on the birth of the students and are considered under privileged, which is not the case everytime. This leads to many of the deserving students  not getting seats in the colleges they deserve and have to compromise on quality of education. This also leads to a lot of hate towards the category students. 

This petition is aimed towards the Government of India, requesting totally abolish the reservation system and to create such policies to help the Economically Weak Students with their finances, without compromising on the quality of students in the various colleges of the coutry
