At Waubonsie Valley High School, there are some courses that offer a blended option for it. A blended class teaches the same material as a regular class, but there is more freedom for the students in the sense that there will be days when they are completely independent and can do whatever work they want to do. If a student is ahead in this class and they have a blended day, they can use their time to work on other things that need attention. If they are confused about a past topic in the class, then they can also ask their teachers questions. I believe that high school is the time when teenagers really need to start building their independence, and blended classes are the perfect opportunity to do so. I believe that there should be more blended opportunities at Waubonsie specifically in order to help the students of the school build their independence.
