As we all are aware, Over the last decade there has been minimal growth in sport climbing across the country. There had been pressing need for a transformational approach to building this wonderful sport across India. One significant reason is the gap between the authorities, athletes & climbing community as a whole. We can all agree that a visionary leader was needed to bridge that gap.

LEADERSHIP is not a position or a title, It is ACTION & EXAMPLE!

Brigadier M P Yadav is the embodiment of this.
In his short tenure of 2 years, Brigadier M P Yadav has been instrumental in driving unprecedented growth of sport climbing in India. This has brought in tremendous hope among the athletes to bring more laurels to the country. He has been a pillar of support for athletes who dream of taking climbing to a higher level and bring laurels to the country.

He has created an atmosphere to build a good climbing team & achieve success. We all know, TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK.

A very good example here is, The Speed Climbing record has been broken several times in the last 2 years. This is a direct result of increased exposure & competition among the athletes.

Among his many contributions to the sport, some significant ones have been listed below:

1. He was instrumental in organizing & promoting the sport in new corners in the country.

2. His initiative to start open nationals helped promote the sport by opening up opportunities for more athletes to compete on a big stage, thus building the climbing community

3. Introduction of ranking system for athletes based on multiple open national level climbing competition

4. Increased participation of athletes in international level climbing competitions

5. Effective and Unbiased selection process for the national climbing teams

6. Good number of training camps for athletes

7. He was very welcoming to feedback & suggestion from the climbing community to improve the sport and also implemented them in the best of his capacity

8. He was easily approachable, connected very well with all the athletes & motivated them to perform.

He has been the change we always wanted!

It is our utmost desire that he be brought back as the chairman of sport climbing authority in India.
