Self-care is about allowing yourself to have a nurturing experience of life right now as opposed to when you work harder in the future.

In today’s day and age, people barely have time for their friends and family, let alone themselves. We tend to prioritize other people and other tasks above ourselves and our mental health and keep doing it till we reach a stage of burnout. Self care, when practiced regularly and righteously, ensures that we don’t reach the stage of burnout.
A lot of times self care is also considered to be a practice of privilege. 

“Self-Care Day” should be declared as a holiday for one and all. A day that is devoted to ourselves. A day that breaks the divide between the classes and masses and brings us together to celebrate ourselves, without guilt and hesitation.
