Post May 4,when the liquor shops in India open, every person coming to the liquor shops should be permitted by using his AADHAR card number as his account number and any subsidy/freebie provided to the ration card linked to that particular AADHAR card number should me stopped.

If a person has the money for booze then why waste taxpayers' money on him? There are many more sectors where the governments could use these funds much more productively than to just feed and pamper drunkards. 

For those who prioritize their FAMILY OVER BOOZE an enrollment in a rehab center should be their ticket to receive freebies again after being closely monitored.

Yes, the families will suffer if we don't provide the subsidies, but that suffering is at least bound to a period of a few months until they pull the individual out of addiction which is essential failing which the family will be suffering from the member being under the influence of alcohol throughout. 

This change is not aimed at stopping liquor consumption in our country (although I wish it did), but it  is aimed at making drunkards responsible. Drinking is a big problem in our country but IRRESPONSIBLE is a much bigger problem around the in out country. If this is implemented, maybe a wife or a mother will not have to undergo physical violence by her husband or son just so that she gives up the last few hundreds she hoarded to feed the family.
