Increasing Presence and Resources Regarding South Asia at NYU: Statement of Interest
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
New York University lies at the forefront of academic institutions as a paradigm of the global network university, yet it has been difficult for the NYU community to tap into South Asia’s vibrant culture, its wealth of financial and human capital, and its rich tradition of education and research across subject areas ranging from history to engineering to politics.
Although establishing NYU's presence in one of most rapidly scaling economies and higher education markets in the world has historically faced quality, safety and administrative challenges/barriers, it is certainly not impossible.
This statement reflects interest in establishing a connective framework for NYU’s relations to South Asia, through academic resources within the NYU community and global opportunities for study abroad in South Asia. This statement is data collection to see whether or not there is a sizable population at NYU with such interest.
This statement is not affiliated with New York University. It is not representative of any administrative steps, but merely a student initiative to track interest and showcase to influential faculty as one of many data points.
By signing this statement of interest, you have an interest in either or both of the following:
- Study abroad opportunities in South Asia
- An established South Asia major and department
Call to Action: Sign this statement of interest to show your interest for such progress within the NYU community
