Recently, a ceremony honoring the actions of Martin Luther King Jr was overlooked by Georgia Military College.

Unlike other ceremonies hosted by the school they failed to promote this event in a considerate manner. There were no social media posts, mass emails, or advertisements sent, unlike other events that are promoted at the school.

This event was described as an optional event , unlike many other national holidays where attendance is required. 

What we are asking for is acknowledgment and a discussion as to why the bar was set so low for this ceremony and why it was not publicly addressed.  We also want further representation and acknowledgement initiated by our higher ups. Thank you for your support!
