Increase POLICE presence in Bournemouth town centre!

Increase POLICE presence in Bournemouth town centre!
The Issue
After last nights sad news that another young man has lost his life on an evening out in Bournemouth, it’s very clear that something needs to change!
Bournemouth is the most dangerous town in Dorset, and is among the top 5 most dangerous overall out of Dorset's 250 towns, villages, and cities. The overall crime rate in Bournemouth in 2022 was 91 crimes per 1,000 people. This compares poorly to Dorset's overall crime rate, coming in 51% higher than the Dorset rate of 60 per 1,000 residents. For England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as a whole, Bournemouth is the 24th safest city, and the 1,009th most dangerous location out of all towns, cities, and villages.
The most common crimes in Bournemouth are violence and sexual offences, with 7,492 offences during 2022, giving a crime rate of 38. This is 4.5% lower than 2021's figure of 7,846 offences and a difference of 1.79 from 2021's crime rate of 40. Bournemouth's least common crimes are possession of weapons, with 124 offences recorded in 2022, an increase of 4.2% from 2021's figure of 119 crimes.
The lack of police presence is unbelievable given the rates of crime within our town!
Last nights hideous crime could have been prevented!
We need more police on our streets! If you agree please sign and share!
