Increase Benefit Rates for the Disabled in Canada
Alberta residents with permanent physical disabilities are provided with an income of $1,588.00 per month. This amount allows PWD (persons with disabilities) the ability to manage their lives more appropriately. It allows them to contribute to their local economies. It allows them to be free from the constraints and humiliation of having to beg charitable organizations for bread and tins of soup every week. It frees up valuable resources from charitable organizations. The rate which Alberta provides PWD allows them freedom - to go to a show, to see a live play, to have enough food each and every day - it allows PWD to participate fully in all that their communities have to offer.
