Hi, The Malayalees are the Dravidian ethnolinguistic group living in the state of Kerala in India. For the past few decades, so many Malayalee families are migrated to Canada. Many of them moved to Niagara Region, and begin a new life here. We believe that there are more than 200 families living in the Niagara Region. As an ethnolinguistic minority group, our native language, Malayalam, plays an important role in our life to preserve our cultural values, beliefs and traditions. So we kindly request you to include Malayalam language also in the "International Languages Teaching Program in Niagara Region schools. It will give an opportunity for our younger generations to learn our native language, preserve our values and culture, and be the ambassadors of our culture before the rest of the world. It will also give other communities also learn and understand about our culture, values and traditions. Thanks
