Today, In the Heart of the Beast Mask & Puppet Theatre announced that 2019 would be the last year that they hold the annual MayDay Parade.

Can you imagine a Minneapolis without MayDay? I can't.

But we know that IHOTB can't do it alone. And they shouldn't have to. They've been shouldering a big weight for a long time.

60,000 of us attend MayDay every year. It's part of the identity of our city, and for some of us, it's a part of who we are, too.
