Why this petition matters

Started by BRADLEY HEITZMANN

February 2021 when the big snow storm hit Texas, the power grid really struggle in the Lone Star state. They have known for many years that when a snow storm hits, that our power grid struggles. We need more sources of easy and fast energy. Nuclear power plants are a lot safer for the environment and make 86.25 times more MWh per day than a coal burning factory. They keep all steam inside to turn a turbine to create electricity, instead of letting it into the air and contaminating the air. We need more nuclear power plants to keep the air clean. If we have all nuclear power plants we won't breath in toxic chemicals as in carbon dioxide and green house gases, and we will always have energy when something goes bad. Dripping Springs/Lake Travis area is the ideal location for a nuclear power plant because, you need a lot of water and Lake Travis is a very big lake that will be able to supply this. It also doesn't snow or flood much here because we live in an area where we don't get much rain so nothing would effect the making of our energy.
