Improper Waste Disposal: Don't Let Go

Improper waste disposal is one of the most tackled issues regarding environmental lessons taught in the classroom. Almost everyone is aware of this problem, yet it is still rampant. Simply looking at the surroundings, especially in densely populated cities, can prove that this is so.
Don't let go, our lives are in your hands.
Hold on to that trash for the meantime. Throw it only in its proper place. If you are nowhere near, don't let it go just yet.
The trash you throw on the streets, or anywhere else except for its proper place-- the waste bin, has a ripple effect on several personal and communal aspects:
- Health - harmful chemicals that these trash emit negatively affect our lungs, heart, and skin. Risk of infection, especially of open wounds, increases. Respiratory problems develop due to accumulated pollutants. (A more extensive explanation by eSchoolToday).
- Global Warming - greenhouse gases are released as waste decays. (How and what are these greenhouse gases released?)
- Ecosystem - contamination of the air, water, and soil causes poisoning of organisms thriving in the affected environment. (A video by Study.com about how pollution is destroying habitats)
We know that you've been told this many times already, so we kept it simple. Sign the petition-- you have the power to nurture and to destroy.
It's up to you to choose between the two.
