Ap and Honor courses are known to provide students with a GPA boost. Having taken concurrent enrollment or dual enroll classes while in High School should also provide students with a GPA boost in a similar sense to AP and Honor courses. Taking college courses while in High School provides students with insight regarding how college and university is like, as classes are taken with college professors in a college setting. Dual Enrollmet classes provide students with time management skills through the rigor of juggling both high school and college classes, and through taking college classes students are able to discover possible interests that help them choose a major for the future. 

Numerous school districts provide students with the opportunity of having dual enrollment and and concurrent enrollment weighted on to the High School GPA, Please sign this petition to help advocate for change, and have Long Beach Unified School District implemented Dual Enrollmet classes in the weighted High School GPA.
