My name is Karl Dewazien, also known as Koach Karl. I am the Emeritus Director of Coaching for the California Youth Soccer Association from 1979-2012, an author of internationally published FUNdamental SOCCER book series, and a producer of the highly acclaimed ‘FUNdamental SOCCER -Practice’ DVD. I have dedicated my life to youth soccer and believe that it's time we introduce a 'FUNdamental SOCCER Bill of Rights' to our global youth soccer community.

The 'FUNdamental SOCCER Bill of Rights' is designed to ensure that every young player gets equal opportunities and fair treatment in their pursuit to play soccer. It will serve as a guide for coaches, parents, and players alike on how best to nurture talent while ensuring enjoyment and love for the game.

Youth sports are about more than just winning or losing; they're about teaching life skills such as teamwork, discipline, respect for others, and resilience in face of challenges. Yet too often these values get lost in translation due to competitive pressures or lack of understanding.
