Parking is a problem that affects all residents of Kings Heath in one way or another. 

The volume of cars means that many vehicles end up parked in ways that obstruct the pavement and therefore make life harder for pedestrians, particularly disabled pedestrians. 

This is a problem that needs addressing immediately, particularly with the impending opening of Kings Heath’s train station. 

This problem could be significantly improved by implementing residential parking permits across Kings Heath roads. This would both ensure that residents have a better chance of parking in the area they live in, discouraging households from owning multiple vehicles and decrease the chances of essential pedestrian infrastructure being obstructed by parked cars.  

This petition will be shared with our local councillors, asking them to implement a scheme that restricts road parking to residents of Kings Heath.
