The Alpena city council has been making big decisions against the wishes of the voters and tax payers. It's time to remind them who they work for. Us. I've lived in this town for 31 years; and every single year we are told there is no money to fix the roads, or the leaky water mains, or the dilapidated sewers overgrown with tree roots. Yet, every year the council finds piles and piles of money to throw at our "tourism" industry. This year alone they are replacing perfectly fine sidewalks just because the colors don't match, and they are allocating 1.4 million to a hotel developer instead of to our local infrastructure. That's enough money to increase our road maintenance budget by 64% and they're giving it away to one person. This cannot stand. Share your voice here and let's remind these folks who they work for.
