To consider all Caregivers that came here under the old New Pathway program which are college or university undergraduates, whose Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report does not meet the Completed post-secondary credential as a requirement of Home Child Care Provider or Home Support Worker Pilot for Permanent Resident Application Inside Canada.

We the officers of Care for Caregivers Canada Inc. along with the strong support of other caregiver organizations in Canada hereby join our acts together and unite ourselves to most respectfully make this submission containing our appeal for compassion from IRCC to seriously reconsider those Caregivers whose Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report does not meet the requirement of the New Pilot program for Caregivers.

This “New Pilot” which strictly increased the educational requirement to have a COMPLETED Canadian one (1) year post-secondary education credential or higher has placed these caregivers in a miserable situation making their dream of uniting with families in becoming permanent residents almost impossible.

On bended  knees we are appealing that IRCC reconsider the said stringent educational requirement to be reverted to the more realistic requirement of Secondary School Graduation for a reasonable duration for us to process our permanent resident status.
