Justice to COVID-19 Pandemic Essential Workers

Essential workers: The one who were in service when everyone else were at home hiding from the COVID-19 pandemic. Once’s known as heroes to keep everyone's life easier during COVID-19 Pandemic.
During first lock down at New Zealand, When the entire nation was on self-quarantine, relaying on government benefit known as subsidy, while essentials workers had to be at work to keep the country running at their best wearing mask, challenging the risk of getting caught by the virus, so that everyone in the country would be able to get their daily needs at their doorstep, keeping them safe from COVID-19. without essential workers, the entire country might have had much more miserable time during pandemic. Although, essential workers got some extra pay (10% of total hours worked) which was appropriated but was nothing as compared to the risk of virus they had to deal with every here and there. But when it comes to receive appreciation, once called heroes in needs were no more heroes and no more considered. If the essentials workers were that important during Pandemic, then why not while offering 2021 one off resident visa.
I believe, everyone who had risked their lives working as essential workers serving entire nation during COVID-19, keeping the nation safe, must be evaluated and provided equal opportunities to called New Zealand home regardless of wages and duration they had been living in New Zealand. Essential workers had presented their greatness during pandemic, now it is time for the nation to honour them with real justice.
