Immigration Improves the Nation

Immigration Improves the Nation
H.R. 5376, Build Back Better Act, proposes immigration reform. Passing this act will improve the lives of many immigrants and improve the United States exponentially.
Immigrants come from all over the world bringing with them values and cultures. According to the 2020 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) statistical annual report, over 7.7 million applications were submitted to the USCIS, and less than 16% were processed.
We ask that you support the Build Back Better Act by signing and sharing this petition. This is the time to act and help your neighbor. Passing the BBBA would facilitate work permits, recapture visa numbers, status adjustments, and funding for USCIS services to reduce backlog wait times for applicants (CR, 2021).
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that 17% of the U.S. labor force was foreign-born in 2020 (BLS, 2021). Undocumented immigrants contributed over $11 billion in taxes to state and local agencies (ITEP, 2017). With your support, passing the Build Back Better Act will allow immigrants to have protection. The immigrant population is a great asset to the U.S. economy.
