Australian government plz stop holding afghan HAZARA immigrants from getting a citizenship
Dear Mr dutton there are many refugess in australia who have been residing in australia for more than a decade now. Since its a human right where they have been this long they have the right to be a citizen of that country. Immigrants as young as 18-60 still waiting for their luck to get any news from the immigration department regarding to their citizenship application even tho they have submitted all the required documents/fees and everything yet still nothing . They/we all pay our taxes, work legally. Whats even worse is if you happen to call department of immigration they put you on hold for hours as long as 2-3 hours and once they answer their only response is to wait as its in process and they have been saying this everytime everyone calls for the last 4-5 years. People like myself have been waiting for almost more than four years since i have applied and there are thousands of other people like me whos applocations are on hold for no any reason. Most of them are from AFGHAN
(HAZARA) background. Please Mr dutton you can help if you want.
WE need HELP AND WE DESERVE IT. Thank you.
Solution
Since it’s a human right Please give them what they deserve by making them a citizen. We all love Australia.
Personal story
I am an Afghan immigrant myself. Im 24 years old arrived in australia in 2010 which has been almost 8 years now and still waiting to get my australian citizenship. I have submitted all the required documents and fees in 2015 yet im still waiting for it. There are many other HAZARA AFGHAN like me who are facing the same problem. We pay taxes we work legally and most are with no criminal record like myself. We dont know what are the issues and why has the government put our applications on hold and if u call the department firstly theres a long wait of 2-3 hoirs everytime and their only response is keep waiting as its still under process that what they have been telling everyone for the last four/five years, where a normal application takes only a couple of months.
