As many know, Javier was to report on Monday at 9 a.m. to the DHS/ICE office in Miramar yet again. Thankfully, we have learned that DHS/ICE has agreed to postpone this appointment until January. We do not have a specific date as of yet, but we are very happy with this news. It allows Javier to enjoy this holiday season with his family, and without the constant fear and concern of his status and this situation, which has been very difficult on him and his beautiful family. Our petition for review with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia is a slow-moving process, so this additional time is very important.
