I want to personally and warmly thank Mr. Andrew Gillum, Democratic nominee for Governor of Florida, for tweeting his support many months ago, and also for now signing our petition and expressing his support for our important cause, especially as busy as he must be. His impressive win last night shows he has brought a lot of energy and excitement to the campaign. But, he has also come out on the correct side of this issue - and in particular this case. Legal technicalities and old unfair interpretations of laws should NOT prevent someone like Javier, with a U.S. citizen wife and three (3) beautiful U.S. citizen daughters, from finally being able to adjust his status and become a permanent resident of the USA.

I have been nothing but VERY IMPRESSED with Mr. Gillum, his beautiful family, and his campaign. Whether or not you agree or disagree with him on the many political issues, we can ALL agree that Javier should not face arrest, detention, and deportation from this great country. He is the epitome of the American Dream, and we hope more politicians and leaders set aside their political differences, and recognize that there are many more deserving and compelling cases like this, desperately calling for attention, help, and our support.
