A BIG THANK YOU to EVERYONE for ALL YOUR SUPPORT! As a result of all the calls, e-mails, letters, and support, we received a telephone call today from DHS/ICE informing us that Javier WILL NOT be arrested or deported tomorrow. This is obviously a HUGE sigh of relief for Javier and his family, and we again thank EVERYONE for all the support. We will still "report" to the Miramar office tomorrow, but we will be updating DHS/ICE of all our efforts, including the numerous pending matters we have in this case. It is our hope that we receive a 3 month extension so we can continue with these important efforts. I know that Javier, his family, and I are very thankful to everyone for the many calls, emails, letters, prayers, and support in his case. We have heard from so many people locally in the South Florida community, but also people from around the country - and the world - who have taken time to express their support. We will continue to work hard for Javier and his family, and we will of course continue to post updates on this important and very compelling case.
