We the family of Jemel Roberson is seeking justice and answers regarding his death the occured on November 11, 2018 at Manny's Blue Room Bar. On this day Jemel was doing his job as a Security guard and was shot by a Midlothian police officer 4x that has since been ruled as "FRIENDLY FIRE " which was not so friendly given the fact he was shot in the back! Jemel was only 26 when his life was tragically taken from his family. He was a musician by heart who was passionate about his music. Jemel was only doing his job by trying to stop a gunman. He was a church-going young man studying to be an officer of the law himself. 

We have yet to receive any updates from the State's Attorney office as it relates to the state decision regarding charges for his murder. We have been more than patient while seeking answers from the State Attorney's office as to how they're handling his case. There have been much in the news regarding others, but not Jemel's case. 

We're asking everyone to please sign this petition to help us get answers from Kim Foxx and her team at the State's Attorney office in Illinois.
