On March 20, 2020 the Illinois Shines Program enacted a law that all Solar Sales Professional's are not allowed to do any door knocking. As most know door knocking is part of our sales process. This has brought a undo hardship to the Solar Community. The fact that they are using the Adjustable Block Program (which is unfunded) to threaten Solar Professionals from door knocking is wrong. Any roofer, internet sales, pest control and security professionals are allowed to door knock. The Illinois Shines program has not updated any changes to this program since October 2020. When asked when it will open up the response was they don't know. It is time the Solar Community comes together and says enough is enough. Why are we being singled out when any other door to door business is allowed to knock?
