The Illinois Legislative Session has reached a critical moment and your help is needed to move an important human trafficking bill forward before it is too late! This important bill will help bring justice for victims of sex trafficking crimes.

This bill will help survivors of sex trafficking remove past convictions of prostitution that occurred as a result of being trafficked.  The bill will help sex trafficking survivors to seek employment, loans and other aspects of life that require a criminal background check without the challenge of a criminal record marred by prostitution-related convictions and move toward safe and stable lives.

The only way this bill will advance is if legislators hear a strong message from their Illinois constituents to pass this bill. More information on the bill can be found here.

Letter to
Illinois State Senate
I am writing to urge you to support SB 1037 – Justice for Victims of Sex Trafficking Crimes. Human Trafficking is one of the fastest growing criminal industries in the world, in which traffickers reap billions in profits by using force, fraud or coercion to rob victims of their freedom. It is estimated that thousands of U.S. citizens are trafficked within the United States, including more than 100,000 children in commercial sex.

Can I count on your support?
