It's already very hard to make ends meet in todays society as a single mother or father or even with a 2 income family especially in Illinois. While families are struggling to pay their bills and working overtime and even 2 jobs our state continues to hurt its residents time after time making the struggle more and more harder with each tax increase that is passed without any regard for us that lives in Illinois. The latest tax increase which is the gasoline tax will double the tax we will pay at the pump. By average residence of Illinois will pay about $2.00 more per tank of gas each time they fill up. Not only does this majorly impact drivers this also has major implications for business owners as well. When people get gasoline they are more than likely to go inside and purchase drinks  food and other things but now residents really have to watch they are spending. The rise in gasoline will also impact the way people travel or spend family time or other activities because they need to watch how much gasoline they are using. $2.00 per tank extra doest seem like alot, but for already struggling families this is crippling. Cigarette tax increase, a Rain Water tax being implemented and now the 2nd gasoline tax... the residents of Illinois are hurting and need to be heard. We pay our taxes, and we elect the men and women that we put our trust in to do the right thing and to protect us and our way of life in this state but that's not what is happening. Agendas and not making decisions that improve the residents of Illinois is what's going on and something needs to be done about it. It's time for the Governor,  the house of representatives and the Senate to start working for us because that's how its supposed to be.
