Clorissa DeBow started this petition to Illinois Governor and

My brother was wrongfully convicted of murder in 2003. The statements issued from the prosecutor and the judge were racist, demeaning, and defamation of character. My brother has been incarcerated for 20years and has no hope of coming home unless its via clemency. There was and is no solid evidence in this case for him to be convicted. He endured countless hours and unimaginable things while he was interviewed, he was eventually coerced into a false confession. The judge personally said “we would usually sentence A 20 year sentence then come back and check on him but we don’t have that luxury with Jason” the prosecutor said “This is a Warning to kids to stay off drugs or become a Jason Hanson” my brother was not on drugs. These are assumptions made by the investigators, the judge, and the prosecutor. He’s paying the price of another persons crime. My brother isn’t perfect but he deserves a chance. A fair chance. He has a job and home to come to, and family that love and miss him dearly. Please please help me bring my brother home, atleast give him a chance. That’s all I ask. Thank you for your time.
