. . started this petition to IIM ROHTAK

The online computer based examination of IPM AT Rohtak which oversees admissions to IIM Rohtak's BBA+MBA course was conducted on 20th July 2020.Usually the exam is conducted at designated centres but due to Covid-19 pandemic the exam was conducted on google forms (a tool that allows collecting information from users via a personalized survey or quiz) despite the availability of proctored testing platforms. Proctored testing platforms are specifically designed to conduct examinations from home as they have features like webcam video recording and audio recording as well as timed testing which disallows the malpractices and cheating.

Conducting the examination on google forms made it really convenient for students to cheat as there weren't any measures to ensure who is giving the exam.Anyone could login from the student's id and give the examination on his behalf. Also students could easily copy the questions as there wasn't any feature to block students from copying the questions and sending them over messaging platforms.

The exam was scheduled to start at 3:30 pm but due to server overload many students were debarred from starting the examination at 3:30 which was a major problem as only 45 were allotted for the mcq's test. minutes and a delay of even 5-10 minutes could result in a huge loss.

My questions to IIM Rohtak are:

1.Why did they conduct the examination on google forms despite the availability of proctored examination platforms ?

2.Where was the hefty amount of registration fees which was collected from over 12000 applicants used?

Conducting such poorly managed examination despite being a management institute doesn't only bring defame to the name of IIM's but also is big injustice for the ones who prepared for the examination by toiling hard day and night and dreamed of getting taught and mentored by the country's top faculty.

In the end I would like to suggest IIM to re conduct the examination either on a proctored platform or at designated centres in order to rectify their mistakes and conduct the examination in fair manner.
