IE solely in Segovia consumes around 20,000 plastic bottles in an academic year. If this bottles are not recycled properly they end up not biodegrading and harming our planet as they photodegrade meaning they decompose by the action of light and therefore stay on our planet for around 1,000 years. As a large community of students at IE we need to start to become conscious and make IE become plastic free. Sustainable life can be accomplished is just a matter of becoming conscious about the problem, changing our habits and encouraging change!
