1. Explain why Imam Abdenassir was removed from his position. 2. Reinstate the ICM Shura. 3. Shura to decide way forward in consultation with the community.

On October 4th, 2020, the community-elected Shurah of ICM was disbanded. Shurah members were told that this was for the purpose of streamlining for effectiveness.

The Board of ICM consists of 6 founding members of the masjid who are unelected lifelong members.

The Youth Committee at ICM was let go without notice on December 20, 2020.

Imam Abden Nasser was let go from ICM without notice to the Imam, the Imams Committee, and without consultation of the community.

A prospective Imam, Imam Manzarul Islam Al-Azhari visited the community on November 7th, 2021.

Currently, there is no method of formal documented community input due to the shura disbandment. Decisions continue to be made at ICM without the community’s input.
