Amended access to Croxley Danes School

To be clear, this is NOT a petition opposing the building of the school.
We are respectfully requesting that further consideration is given to the access and entrance arrangements to the proposed school premises. Having seen the plans and proposals it is acknowledged that there is very limited scope regarding the entrance, but the plans remove valuable parking space opposite the shops, depriving customers, business owners and the residents of the ten flats above the shops.
The planning proposals for the school have now been submitted and we note that the Transport Assessment in the planning application refers to the loss of parking spaces and recognises the concern to local traders and residents, stating that further investigation will be made to try and mitigate the impact of the proposals. We can see a simple and cost-effective compromise within the proposals that will not have an impact on the school, but will make a significant difference to the community, and have extended an invitation to the project team to meet with us as part of their 'investigation'. We have not yet heard back from them.
We are asking that this is considered as part of the planning consultation process with a view to reaching a compromise that can be incorporated ahead of any construction work.
