The USA has the world's largest international student population with more than 1,000,000 students that chose to come here to get their education. In addition, International students usually pay the tag price of school which averages about $40k a year. As a result, American students are able to get a higher amount of financial aid. International student are leaders in many fields, such as research on campus. Also, there are over 20,000 international student-athletes enrolled and competing at NCAA schools. International student-athletes add much to the learning environment within intercollegiate athletics.

Now, due to the unknown future brought by the COVID-19, we are forced to leave the United States if we attend an institution with online-only classes in this upcoming fall.

We have become part of our school community from the first day we arrived in America. We should not be forced to leave the country which we pay for to get our education. We hope that the necessary offices will understand the impact this will have on us and our future. We have relationships here in America, with our professors, teammates, friends, and families. It is not to say that we will all stay here for no reason, but we do not want to be forced to leave our second home.
