I would first and foremost like to thank everyone that has taken time to share or sign this petition. As we all know, COVID-19, better known as the current global pandemic, has had a negative influence on individuals around the world. We have been forced to leave social environments and stay at home. I believe that around the world, students have been at a great disadvantage. Our whole lives, we have strived to accomplish great things through education, experience and influence, however the pandemic has put a halt to all of that. How are we suppose to write our exams in May of 2022, when more than HALF of the units and courses we have been studying, had been taught to us when we were stuck slouching on our chairs for 9 consecutive hours. Firstly, we barely register any of the information. Secondly, our mental health has deteriorated. Thirdly, we barely have any DP1 in school exam experience. Lastly, WE are struggling. So please, can the IB cancel the may 2022 exams. It will benefit every single current DP1 that has lacked the DP experience and teachings. We cannot maximize our scores in such situations. Just grade us on our IA's. But whatever happens, please cancel the May 2022 IB exams. For our sake, for all current DP1 student's sake. We are under tremendous stress, this is the first time any of us have ever went through such a pandemic, that has led to such constraints. We have been trying our best to persevere during tough times, but the most we can do is barely get through DP1 with good scores. Let alone go through the exam process with no practice nor experience. If the IB TRULY cared about our physical and mental well-being, they would have cancelled the 2021 exams. So for our health and safety, cancel the May 2022 exams. We don't go through pandemics everyday.
