As everyone knows this past year has been complete turmoil. The IB deciding against canceling all M21 exams blatantly violates their strive to have equitable education for all. It's impossible to be equal across 2 routes, and among kids taking exams, it is even harder because everyone has had such vastly different educations this past year. Kids are immensely stressed, not only from schoolwork but from living through a GLOBAL PANDEMIC and the many crazy political actions this year. Kids have no way to release stress, as they are confined to their homes, or maybe social distanced in a park. Additionally, the uncertainty of exams alone merits cancelation. If all of a sudden a school has to cancel during exams or even a week before, that puts students through unnecessary overstress.

It really boils down to there is no reason exams are necessary. The decision by Kumari and Kearney is inappropriate and does not take into the mental or physical well being of students.

They must either cancel exams immediately or resign, along with any other IB staff part of this decision process. It is unacceptable. We must fight to uphold IBs morals because the current IB staff do not. Be principled.
