Keep non-scheduled surgery services at PRI

We live nearly 50 miles from our nearest big hospital which is Perth Royal Infirmary that is 100 miles round trip for out-of hours, and weekends medical cover.... Now non scheduled surgery has been moved to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee a further 20 miles away. Not only are we so far away but so are the people at the top of Glenlyon, and a lso people who live at Rannoch Station which is a further 18 miles from here. I know that some of us have had to travel to Kings Cross Hospital In Dundee just to see a GP but I believe a petition was successful in having GP cover re-instated at PRI again. I feel that everything is being taken further and further away from rural areas and it is beginning to look as if NHS Tayside do not care about us! In the local paper today there is concern from people in Perth having to travel 20 miles to Dundee for emergency surgery. For the last 4 years non-scheduled surgery at weekends has been carried out at Ninewells, but now it is being carried out there all the time. I think NHS Tayside need to have a re-think on this, only they can solve this. I think that better use could be made of PRI which is a brand new hospital, which is just being turned into a white elephant!
