I want you to implement regular annual inspections on all docks, making sure that they are all up to code with GFCI's installed. The people with rental properties who dont comply to be held heavily accountable through fines and or 3 months of no renting.

My husband and I just bought a dock from the Ozarks. First thing my husband said when it got delivered from there was he was gutting all of the electrical. It was so so old and not up to code. Even though he is an electritian, I myself just by looking at could tell it all needed updated. Electricity near water is a life or death matter. It needs to be taken extremely serious. Saddened about the lives lost. I have many friends who spend time with their families in the Ozarks. I want them to be able to enjoy their time there without this kind of worry or something tragic happening to one of them. Let's be more proactive than reactive.

It's really sad, there should be a law passed so people are aware. This is a very unfortunate situation and if he knew what to do he may have lived. My prayers and condolences. I hope you get enough signatures.

This could have been prevented. It sickens me to see how many people die because of the lack of maintance and up keep etc.

This is simply a terrible tragedy. The ones responsible for Marcus's death, and irresponsible enough to prevent it, should be brought to justice.

This was very tragic. I will not call it an accident because it could have and should have been prevented.. We need to prevent it from happening again.
