I'm a Latino and I Demand Congress to Act on Climate Change
Latinos are the largest minority group in the country. Now, politicians are starting to realize the collective power of our voices. Many may not know that conservation, climate change, and environmental and public health issues are all great concerns for our community.
Climate change, and the dirty energy production that is causing it, affects the Latino community directly, from polluted air in many of our neighborhoods to more severe droughts, wildfires, and storms. We have a lot to gain in the fight for a more just and sustainable future. Latinos will benefit from better jobs in the clean energy sector, healthier communities with clean air and clean water, and beautiful parks and open spaces to enjoy. It is time for Congress to take our future into account and confront the climate crisis.
