My name is Sandra Rautert. I was brought to the US as a child and now at almost 32 years old, I don't have any other place to call home because in my heart america is my home. My husband who is a disabled veteran from the united states army and I have been together 12 years and married 9 years. We have 3 beautiful children who are our biggest blessings after losing 3 pregnancies.  I was approved for the DACA 4.5 years ago and then filed for a visa. We got together all the paperwork asked of me and was sent to cuidad juarez where I am now stuck. I was told all I needed to have a pardon approved in order to be approved to be able to receive my visa and come home to care for my 3 children who need me. Now they are saying I need someone from Washington DC approve my case and again in left without a guarantee of when I  van come home. This just feels like a bad dream I can't wake up from. I JUST want to be back to take care of my 3 children, who need me just as much as I need them. I also have been babysitting 2 more children for almost a year.  One of the children I take care of has health problems that require a feeding tube and because of her issues, its become near impossible to find anyone else but her family and I to care for her. The mother has written a hardship letter explaining how essential I am to her and so has my husband because he travels so much for work and the military that I am the main caregiver for our children. It is absolutely critical that I return as soon as possible. We love each other so much and just the thought of having our family broken up has caused so much anguish on all of us.
