I have a son who is now 12 years old. When he was 4 I went to a church convention in Tuscon, AZ. While I was in the bathroom my son got a chair undid the chain and went outside. It took two minutes. He went missing for 20 minutes. The police were called. Thank God for the amount of people there because a family with 2 children had him safe trying to find me. It could have ended badly. I was screaming. The panic over took me. When we were reunited I cried. I have been there. I know what it feels like. I was lucky that my situation had a happy ending. I will share this and support this till my dying breathe. Prayers for the family. Let's continue to advocate for our disabled loved ones to make places safer for them.

I think it is a great idea to have some type of safety system in place for families traveling who have loved ones with them who have disabilities such as Autism. These families can travel and stay somewhere safely.
