Urgent action needed: parliamentary debate and vote imminent

We are grateful that you have signed this petition in defense of CEU and academic freedom! Support is reaching CEU in many different ways — CEU president and rector Michael Ignatief has posted this video message to convey his thanks.
Unfortunately, the Hungarian government has responded by moving the parliamentary debate and vote forward. At present, it seems that the amendment will be discussed in Országgyűlés tomorrow, and the vote could already take place on Tuesday — only a week after word first reached us of the proposed legislation!
For this petition to have impact, we will submit it to Hungarian decision-makers in less than 24 hours. We promise that your voice will be heard.
