Hume City Council STOP forcing people onto direct debit contracts

Hume Council is now forcing people wishing to use their Leisure Centres onto direct debit contracts through a third party business EZIdebit. This is now YOUR ONLY PAYMENT OPTION to join their gyms, take swimming classes and use their other facilities. The council leisure centres are provided for community use and should not be conditional on you handing over your financial details to another company to debit and fine your account as they see fit. People should be able to continue paying their fees upfront especially for things like kids swimming lessons which are an important life skill. I am petitioning Hume City Council to reinstate the option for people to CHOOSE the payment method that best suits their family circumstances.
