St Andrews Regeneration and Redevelopment started this petition to Humberside Police/Hull City Council
Gordon Street Police Station in Hull was opened in 1885 and is the oldest Police Station in Hull. It is also a Grade 2 Listed Building a recent refurbishment of £1.3million in 2008 of public money and is now at risk of being sold on.
This is just simply nonsensical when the very area it was meant to serve is currently in one of the worst periods it has seen where Anti Social Behaviour is concerned.
We as residents of the St Andrews and Docklands Ward want to show the Police and the local Council that this is a much needed service and community asset.
After several meetings with the local residents there is a clear need for a local Police Station dealing with local issues.
