I being born and bought up in Shillong always loved my State, and because of the love and respect for the state I respect the all the races be it Tribal or non tribal. I met one Khasi Tribal lady in Bangalore who had come for her treatment. I being a non tribal who had to move out of the state to look for job opportunities in other part of the country because we were never considered as part of the state and we always get second class status and that’s how we got treated in our own homeland, I could have done injustice to her giving wrong information but no as I being a responsible citizen of India guided her to the right Doctor for her cancer treatment and constantly followed up with doctor and the lady about the progress. Thankfully the disease was detacted early and she got cured. You must be wondering why I mentioned this incident because my first responsibility is to serve humanity doesn’t matter what culture it is. The recent incident is very disheartening. Is this the way non Tribals get treated in their own homeland and the authorities who are supposed to look into the matter are simply saying they have no idea about the incident. I am sorry and ashamed that this incident happened in my state. I also feel sorry for the culprits parents that they couldn’t give proper education to their monster child. When an Black Person was assaulted in USA entire world stood up but when Non Tribal was assaulted in North East non of the news were broadcasted in the News Channel.
