I am a resident of Bangalore since I was born and more importantly I am a scout and I obey my law which states to love nature and I can't watch it being killed this way. My dad owns about 13 acres of land in the village AGAVALAM Near Panapakkam which is in NEMILI taluk located near to Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. He has personally planted about 2000 trees which includes mango, coconut, teak, papaya, Jack fruit, neem and many more and stands tall even today. We also make our own vermicompost for the trees and the fruits produced are completely original and free from harmful pesticides or any such matter.
SIPCOT had issued a public notice In 2008 which proposed to acquire land of about 1600 acres for SIPCOT PANAPAKKAM SCHEME.
Referring to the public notice we had submitted our objection in 2008 to the authorities requesting to remove our land from the acquisition. In 2015 the authority has again issued a notice asking for farmers opinions and objections regarding the Land Acquisition. We had requested the authorities in writing to consider our petition because the said land could be removed from the Acquisition as it being used for an agricultural purpose, and also this particular piece of land parcel falls in the corner of the scheme boundary. More than that we are the only one who have planted about 2000 various trees within the said scheme Boundary.
It is the ignorance of the officials on the complaint given, by not reporting to their higher authorities for the necessary decision. In fact the ground suggestion is to save agricultural land & trees even without disturbing the project. We have not received a single reply so far from the respective authorities for the repeated request given. This move of the officials show the ignorance / carelessness in public service, which will lead the country to the corruption in all levels. Now again in Sep- 2017 they have sent a notice asking the owners to submit their legal documents to take the compensation fixed by the government against the land acquisition, to which we are objecting again and no action is being taken. I am requesting you all to sign this petition and help me take this forward to the Pasumai Thaayagam which is responsible for the green cover of Tamil Nadu.
Because we are not ready to go for any short cut route which will result in our favour ,we stand unable to safeguard the farm right now.
