Nowadays many Filipinos were being killed due to war on drugs or they called Extra Judicial Killing(EJK).
Extra Judicial Killing(EJK) is the killing of a person by governmental authorities without the sanction of any judicial proceeding or legal process. It was all started because of the Philippine Drug War that refers to the policy against the illegal drug trade in the Philippines, initiated by the Philippine government under President Rodrigo Duterte.
Dead bodies were found day by day in every part of the country without any formal judgement. In fact based on the PNP report 7,080 is the total number of people killed in war on drugs since July 1, 2016 and 3,603 is the total number of victims in cases of deaths under investigation, as of January 9, 2017.
Every people has their rights to live in this country peacefully with their families and loveones but if this crisis will continually happen there will be no peace that our own people wants.
The researchers Mission
The victims of Extra Judicial Killing reached up to the limit that many of their families are complaining about what the new administration is doing about this problem. The researchers will provide a website that will give information to people about their human rights.
The researchers Vision
The vision of the researchers is to see the people of the Philippines living in a peaceful country that there will be no killing of their own people even though he or she is accused as a drug user or dealer or even a drug lord. Everyone should be treated equally. There should be a legal process on how they will change because violence is not the right way to resolve any problem it will only cause anger to the government.
The purpose of our project is to inform the readers and viewers on how extra judicial killing caused by war on drugs affects the lives of many innocent people being accused as a drug addict and drug courier. It is also to encourage the victims and the families of the victims to fight for their right and be judge by using legal forms of actions, giving their right to call an attorney and appeal to court their cases and be prosecuted fairly.
Extra Judicial Killing(EJK) is a very popular scene in our country since President Duterte had been elected to be the presiden of our country. Extra judicial killing is the killing of a person by governmental authorities without the sanction of any judicial proceeding or legal process. Extrajudicial punishments are mostly seen by humanity to be unethical, since they bypass the due process of the legal jurisdiction in which they occur.
